Marshank! A name so vile all the creatures of the southsward lands have grown to hate it. As a younge mouse Martin is taken by the ruler of this horrible fortess, Badrang, and forced to build it. Martin vows to one day take back his fathers sword . . .and Badrangs life. With the help of Rose and Grumm of Noonvale, he treads a dangerous trail to keep his promise.

The Bellmaker

Dandin and Mariel are missing. None one word of them has reached Mariels fathers ears since the day they left to search for adventures. In his sleep, Joseph dreamed of Martin the Warrior, who told him a great riddle. . .a riddle that must be solved to save his daughter and Dandin.

'Five will ride the Roaringburn, But only four will e'er return, Urgan sits in Gael's royal house, Warriormaid and Warriormouse, Say hasten, and give aid,'

Five companions set out from Redwall joined along the way by the Guosom shrews, and  Captain of the Pearl Queen and sea otter, Finnbarr Galedeep.

Meanwhile, Dandin, Mariel, and their friend Bowly Pintips the hedgehogs fight against the Foxwolf Urgan Nagru and his mate Silvamord.
